Blood pressure

Participants’ blood pressure was taken during a health exam. Blood pressure was categorized as:

• Normal: < 120/80
• Elevated: < 130/80
• Hypertension: >= 130/80

If blood pressure is elevated or within the range categorized as hypertension, it may damage blood vessels and increase the risk of heart disease and other illnesses.
