Healthcare experiences
Mental healthcare access
About 20-30% of respondents report missing out on needed mental healthcare in the last 1.5 years, and the data suggests that the issue is worsening. Younger respondents (ages 18-34) report higher than average rates of barriers to mental healthcare access. Latinx, Black, and Native American respondents are the most consistently affected race/ethnicity group. Across the income spectrum, respondents report similar rates of access to mental healthcare services suggesting generally inadequate provider availability as well as specific gaps that disproportionately affect some population groups.
